Water Heater Failure Cleanup & Restoration

A failed water heater can dump 40 to 80 gallons and keep refilling. We extract, dry, and restore whatever it soaked, fast.

When the Tank Goes, It Goes All at Once

Most water heaters last 10 to 15 years, and when they fail, it’s usually the tank rusting through from the inside. There’s rarely a warning. One day there’s a puddle around the base, and if the supply keeps feeding the tank, that puddle becomes a flooded utility room, a soaked basement, or water coming through the ceiling from an upstairs closet.
Quick Response Restoration provides water heater failure cleanup for homes and businesses across Saratoga County and the Capital Region. We shut down the supply, extract the water, dry the area, and repair the flooring and drywall the leak damaged.
Water heaters in finished basements, closets, and attics cause the most damage because the water spreads into living space. Where the tank is on a slab in an unfinished area, it’s usually a faster job. Either way, we treat it as urgent.

Our Restoration Process

Stop and Extract

Supply is shut off, standing water is extracted, and we map how far it spread.

Dry the Area

Flooring, subfloor, drywall, and framing are dried with commercial equipment and daily monitoring.

Repair

Damaged flooring, drywall, and finishes are restored by our in-house crews.

How We Handle Water Heater Damage

First the water supply to the tank gets shut off, and we coordinate with your plumber on replacement. Then we extract the water and check adjacent rooms and the level below with moisture meters, because water heater leaks run under flooring and along walls.
Wet materials that won’t dry are removed, drying equipment runs until readings are normal, and reconstruction follows. If the leak went unnoticed for a while, we check for mold and handle it if it’s there.
Sudden water heater failure is typically covered by homeowner’s insurance. We document the loss and bill your carrier directly.
