An Afternoon Dedicated to Local Heroes
First responders are the people communities count on when an ordinary day suddenly becomes an emergency. Quick Response’s First Responders Freedom Fest & Family Picnic was created to put appreciation at the center of the day and give police officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, veterans, military families and their loved ones time to relax together.
On July 11, 2026, the Round Lake celebration brought guests together for a free afternoon of live music by Grand Central Station, BBQ, popcorn, carousel rides, face painting, balloon artists, cornhole and lawn games. The event also marked America’s 250th anniversary with an easygoing picnic atmosphere focused on fellowship rather than formality.
Because Quick Response often works alongside emergency professionals when homes and businesses are at their most vulnerable, this gathering carries special meaning for our team. It is a sincere thank-you to the people who answer the call every day.

First responders spend much of their working lives focused on other people. Freedom Fest gives crews, veterans, military families and loved ones time to enjoy an afternoon without an agenda built around work. Food, music, games and family activities create space for conversation, laughter and the kind of easygoing time together that busy schedules rarely allow.
Recognizing Service Beyond the Uniform
The people behind emergency services are neighbors, parents, friends and volunteers as well as professionals. Honoring their work also means recognizing the families and support systems behind them. Bringing everyone together in one community setting creates a more personal thank-you and strengthens the local connections that help the region respond when it matters most.
